I'm a Phd student at Heidelberg University and the German Cancer Research Center (DKFZ), located in Heidelberg, Germany.
My research focuses on Data Annotation, Vision Language Models, Multimodal Data and Benchmarking.
I have over 7 years of hands-on experience in data-centric AI. Before my PhD I built and led a 25-person Data Engineering team at understand.ai.
My work has been recognized as a Falling Walls Science Breakthrough of the Year 2023 Finalist, the International Anton Fink Science Prize for AI (endowment EUR 10,000), and a Merit scholarship by the Hanns Seidel Foundation among other awards.
I believe in building things that people love and use. As one of three core authors of ASAM OpenLabel, I helped create what has become the predominant labeling standard for German OEMs and is now supported by a large number of data-centric AI tools.
